There is a lot of hard work that goes into restoring a classic car. But if you are dedicated like John Rosatti,to recreating the beauty that your classic car once had both inside and out, then the job can be very rewarding in the end when you have a beautiful show car that you can drive around town and put on display. There is a lot that goes into restoring a classic car. You will need to be able to find all of the parts that will work on its classic and possibly outdated engine as well as find replacement parts for the interior that may be very difficult to locate, notes John Rosatti. But if you have a special love for the look and feel of classic cars, all of the hard work that you put into restoring it will be well worth it in the end once your job has been completed.

In order to get started with classic car restoration you have to first of all have a classic car on hand to work with. You can find bodies or old junk models of your favorite classic cars at your local junk yard or you can also find these parts in the classified section or your local newspaper as well as online. ...
... Depending on the model that you wish to restore, it is usually not too hard to find the classic car body that you are looking for at a reasonable price. Sometimes you may just be able to find the metal frame itself while in other cases you could find a complete car with an engine and full interior that just simply needs some extra work done to it. It is important that you shop around and try to find the best deal on the car frame or body that you have in mind to restore and do not settle on the first item that you come across.

Once you have your classic car frame, it is time to get to work on the engine. If you already have an engine in your old junk classic car, you are in luck because that means you do not have to spend out a lot of extra cash and spend a lot of time looking for the right type of engine to fit your car. Still, finding new or used mechanical parts that will work in your classic car can sometimes be a struggle since some of the parts that were used in classic cars are no longer being made by the manufacturers. Therefore you may have to rely on used or refurbished parts from a junk yard in order to fully rebuild your classic car.

After you have fully rebuilt your motor and got the car running as it should, it is time to put the finishing touches on your newly rebuilt classic car, notes John Rosatti. You will need to work on the interior such as the seats, or add new seat covers, repair the radio and speakers if needed and also repair any other problems that may be present with the interior. You will also want to replace the tires and make sure all of your lights are working correctly before you take your newly restored car out on the road for a test drive.
