Hyderabad city is the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh of India. It is the sixth most populated city in the county and has about 5 million people housed within the premises of the city. Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah was the king who founded the city in the year 1591. The city is situated on the banks of river Musi. The city is grouped in one of the finest city in the country in terms of the developments and economy.
General history of city
The city of Hyderabad was founded by the king Mohd., Quli Kutub Sah, however, excavations have revealed that the city was flourishing from the Iron age and onwards. After the rule of Kutub Sah it was captured by Aurangzeb. There were almost no progress made during the British Rule because the region was not ruled by them. Later when India became independent, it acquired the princely state of Hyderabad, merged parts of telgu speaking people with it to form the state of Andhra Pradesh. During this whole process the Union of India had to adhere to strict economic barriers as well as military power to virtually capture the state of Hyderabad.

The best time to travel Hyderabad is in winters, from Nov-Feb. During this period the precipitation is usually very low and the temperature is about 15 degrees for the overall comfort of a tourist. The city experiences a heavy rainfall in the monsoon season, from June to October. The temperature during this period is slightly more than the normal i.e. about 35-38 degrees.
Economy of the city
The city is backbone of the economy of the whole state and it is the largest contributor for the overall GDP of the state. Hyderabad is one of the richest cities in the world and once a famous personality was marked saying ‘Hyderabad should be the capital of India instead of Delhi, because of its beauty and prosperity’. The main industry of city is service sector and Information Technology. There are many other dwelling field of work such as Biotechnology, pharmaceuticals etc. which contribute to the overall development of the city.
Major tourist Attractions
The city is well connected through the roadways, railways and airways. An interesting fact about Hyderabad is that it is actually two twin cities are merged in one ‘Secunderabad and Hyderabad’ to make Hyderabad. The city is actually a huge collection of places worth visiting. Some are mentioned here. The famous Charminar, Paigah Tombs, Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Chowmahala Palace, Asman Garh Palace, Faluknuma Palace and Kings kothi are the major buildings built by historic rulers of the city that inhance the beauty of Hyderabad and divert all visitors for seeing the Hyderabad Tour Attractions. Apart from these there are religious places such as Birla Mandir, Mecca Masjid, Sanghi Temple in the city. Museums such as Salar Jung Museum, Birla Science Museum and Birla Planeterium are also worth viewing. For the nature liking people there are lakes on the outskirts of the city, Osman Sagar, Hussain Sagar and Samirpet Lake are few to name. There is zoological garden in the heart of the city which houses many national and international animals, birds and amphibians in it and is a place worth visiting especially for children.
