Sariska is a popular tourist destination situated in the Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan. It is popular due to the presence of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The reserve forest is spread over approximately 866 square kilometer area, and was established in the year 1955. It was named Sariska National Tiger Reserve in 1978 when it was declared as a tiger reserve to protect the Royal Bengal Tiger, which was on the verge of extinction.

... reserve, can be booked at the entrance of the reserve. The entry fee is charged for a three-hour jeep safari, which will cost close to INR 1000. The best time to visit the Sariska Tiger Reserve is from September to March, when the weather would be suitable for long jeep rides and other exploring activities.

Apart from wildlife, Sariska also houses the scattered ruins of Garh Rajor temples belonging to the 9th and 10th centuries. Other destinations like Sariska Palace, Vijay Mandir Palace and Siliserh Lake Palace are prime examples of the architectural splendour of Sariska. The other major attractions in Sariska are the historical fort called Kankawadi Fort, Bhangarh fort, Pratapgarh fort and Ajaibgarh fort.
