During the last fifteen years, clothes catalogues have blown away the notion that clothes's shopping from a printed catalogue should be relegated to the junkyard.
In the space of fifteen years, the retailing landscape has permanently changed beyond recognition.
Today, only the most traditional of customers will not have experienced the Internet.

In short: The Internet has revolutionised retailing.

Discerning shoppers can now choose when and where they want to shop, without the constraints of a limited selection in their clothes catalogues or actual shop.
Today, few of the traditional clothes catalogues exist in print alone. If any retailer is going to continue to trade at all, then they have no option but to become a multi channel retailer, that is to say that they must have an online presence and or a bricks and mortar outlet on the high street also.

The days are long gone of putting in your order before 7 o'clock or heading off to the shops in a mad dash before closing.
The internet never sleeps and it is now possible to buy (virtually) anything online and have it delivered ...
... to your door (if you so desire) and the traditional clothes catalogues are no exception..

Clothes catalogues in particular have benefitted from online shopping in that there are now no restraints put on them in terms of the amounts of space in a printed book that they are limited to. Many more styles, colours and options can now be displayed at very little cost compared to a traditionally printed clothes catalogue. Plus sizes and petites no longer have to be content with a single page. Many more sizes and styles are now presented to the online customer, so much so, that being above or below average height or weight no longer leaves the shopper feeling self conscious.

Of course having more competition online can only be a good thing for the customer, for retailers however, traditional or otherwise, it means they have to be constantly on their toes.
In short, you and I can expect more choice, better service and even more convenience from those retailers who decide to join the online shopping revolution and clothes catalogues just might get better again.

Happy shopping.
