Ramadan is an essential and very important month for all Muslims. It is considered a gift from Allah (S.W.T) to all Muslims. This month is intended to teach Muslims patience, tolerance and modesty. Ramadan has great significance in Muslim life. It is during this month that the holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). During this month, Muslims pray, fast and abstain from evil deeds and thoughts are rewarded 70 times more than the standard prayers.

Elderly, people with serious illnesses or disabilities are exempt from fasting, although they are necessary to feed the poor instead of wasting the fast. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, people who travel a lot and are also exempt because the same condition as feeding the poor or compensate their fasts after the month of Ramadan also ended. Children are not obliged to fast. People are forced to fast once Islamists adults.
According to a famous hadith, “People who observe Ramadan properly have their sins forgiven. The gates of hell are closed during the holy month of Ramadan and satan is locked up”. Reciting the Quran is also an important part of Ramadan with prayer and fasting.
The end of Ramadan is marked by the celebration of Eid in form, after the new moon was sighted. There is a special celebration of Eid ul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan and is also known as the festival of breaking the fast. People get new clothes and special Eid prayers in the morning to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, As part of the celebration of people exchange gifts with friends and family.
