What Is The Best Hardwood - Choosing
What is the best hardwood? Those who are looking to install a hardwood floor may be asking themselves this question as they look at their Toronto floor and figure out what type to put down. There are many different types of hardwoods that are out there and are fine for the floor. You just have to take a look at one that you like. When someone is wondering what is the best hardwood, they have to realize that this is all a matter of opinion. There are those who will say that oak is the best because it wears well and is a fine, hard wood. However, those who do not like the grains that are found in this type of wood will disagree and want to choose another floor that they think is better.
There are many different types of the Toronto floor that a person can choose from but they may not realize that the same wood is often presented in different ways when they look at a floor site. The woods can vary when it comes to shading based upon how they are stained and the type of wood as well. How they are finished also makes a bit of a difference when it comes to woods. You should look at the floors that are out there ...
... and choose one that will suit the way that you want to live. The woods should also go with the décor style that you have in your home or plan to have in your home. If you have all cherry wood or stained cabinets, dark cabinets, for example, then you are probably going to want to go with dark hardwoods for the floor. By having all of the wood match or at least be the same hue it will look better for the décor of your home.
A more traditional type of house will usually entail darker woods or those that are a bit darker and stained. The more modern home will usually have lighter woods or those that are not stained and maybe just finished naturally. The choice is yours on how you want to decorate your home but be sure to look at all of the choices that are out there before deciding on one or the other. You should also look at other floors options such as laminate when you are choosing for the kitchen or bathroom as these are ideal for these rooms which may get wet due to stains or just having water in the room. You are going to want to avoid getting water on the traditional hardwoods because this can warp the wood. However there are new products out there that are easier to care for than those old hardwoods and they should be looked at as well.
The more natural the wood, the better so you are better off to go with quality rather than a cheap price when choosing a hardwood floor. A good quality floor will continue to last for the duration of the house so this is a good investment for any home owner.
