Bangalore - Uniquely Different

Bangalore is situated in the state of Karnataka and is known by various sobriquets such as Garden City, Pensioners Paradise and Silicon Valley of India. This city is a tourists’ delight and is dotted by various attractions such as palaces, gardens, churches, temples, museums and historical monuments.
Bangalore is also a much sought after destination among tourists for its many shopping avenues and clubbing scene in the city. The city with its many luxury malls and street shopping options is a favourite among shopaholics of all tastes and is is sure to entice all. Bangalore has a very happening club scene with its many pubs and clubs that play hosts to world renowned DJs. These cubs are also a favourite haunt among the young crowd of the city. Apart from the pub culture in the city, it is also a happening place for those interested in the more refined arts of theatre, classical music, dance and others.

... interest in the city include the Tipu Sultan Summer Palace, Bangalore Palace and Mayo Hall. These are the most prominent among all of Bangalore's historical structures. Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace is a two storied wooden structure ornate with carved pillars, arches and with many scenic balconies that was built in 1791. Bangalore Palace another attraction in the city of Bangalore is believed to have been inspired by the Windsor Castle and is said to have been built in the Tudor style by the Wodeyar King at an exorbitant cost of Rs 1 million back in 1880.
While Bangalore Museum and Vishweshwaraiah Museum are also two prominent features of Bangalore Packages that are visited by families with young children with a curious bent of mind, Iskcon Temple, Bull Temple, St Mary's Basilica, St Patrick’s Church and the Masjid-e-Khadria are some of the popular places of worship here in Bangalore. Two other prominent landmarks here are the St Mark's Cathedral and the ISKCON Temple which are part of many religious Bangalore Packages. St. Mark's Cathedral was founded in 1808 and consecrated by the Bishop of Calcutta. The ISKCON Temple popular for its uniquely modern and traditional architecture and practices, is a favoured tourist destination that is visited not just as a place of worship but also as a tourist attraction.
The Vidhana Soudha is built out of dressed Bangalore granite and houses the Legislative Chambers of the state government. Vishweshwaraiah Science and Industrial Museum pays tribute to M Vishweshwaraiah, who was one of the pioneer architects of modern Karnataka.
