Birthday Speeches Add To That Birthday Bash

It’s customary to toast a birthday boy or girl. It’s important that you toast that celebrant with a speech full of meaning. That is if you want them to remember it all the days of their lives. Birthday Speeches should be, you see, the highlight of the party.
Of course some birthdays are more celebrated than others and obviously what you say at a 21st will be totally different to what you say at a 70th. Yet the Birthday Speeches will have some things in common. They will, for example, both express your feelings for the person who is having that birthday party. They will usually be light-hearted as well as sincere and they will end with a wish for happiness and long life.
Such Birthday Speeches, though, are far more than mere toasts. They are an expression of your feelings for the person whose birthday it is. It might be a parent or a sibling. It could be a grandfather or grandmother. You might speak at your best ...
... friend’s birthday or indeed at be asked to speak at the birthday of a colleague. It is important that you personalise the content of that toast.
Birthday Speeches should contain references to the character and personality of the birthday boy or girl. They should refer to their good points such as their kindness or generosity. If your mother is well known for her hospitality say what a pleasure it was to bring friends home. If your father attended all your football matches say just how much his support meant.
It is no harm too to mention their foibles but only if they are well known to all those present. If your best friend has not a single note you could mention that he or she will be excused from doing a musical party piece on the night. If he or she cannot cook mention the fact that for the sake of the health of the guests you have had to call in caterers. Of course if the birthday celebrant is shy or timid or easily embarrassed you will have to be careful as to what you say.
Above all Birthday Speeches should be light-hearted because, after all, it is a party. So tell him or her exactly how wonderful he or she is and what he or she means in your life. Use sentiments he or she will treasure and remember.
