How To Source The Season's Not So Latest Discount Designer Clothing
Trust me, its hard work to remain fashionable! If keeping up with the latest trend on Harper’s Bazaar and Grazia aren’t enough, how about sourcing the season’s latest offerings. I’m a self confessed fashion addict and make it a point to keep myself updated on every latest trend, be it checking who was wearing what at the BAFTA’s , or following style trends by the chicest girls in London, New York, and Milan.
Unlike high street clothes, every designer has his/her own style and that’s what attracts me to designer clothes. For instance, when I’m in a mood to impress and look striking, my choice is Georgia Hardinge. This 24 year old designer makes sure that her clothes are wearable, yet flatter the woman wearing them with the right cut, volume and structure.
Jean-Pierre- Braganza is a natural choice when I’m looking to balance a little bit of edge and practicality. His clothes, especially those from last year’s London Fashion Week and the Autumn/ Winter Collection are perfect for fashion-therapy. Not to mention Atalanta Weller whose designs are always symbolic of some practical avant- garde!
Not ...
... that I’m bragging, but I own an enviable closet with clothes designed by the who’s who of fashion world. Thanks to the internet, buying discounted designer clothing is a lot easier than it was in ye olde days when folks undertook fashion pilgrimages to the US. My secret to an enviable closet can be attributed to the fact that I indulge in some smart chic-o-nomics!
There are plenty of sites that sell the season’s not-so-latest clothes at discounted prices. End of season sales, limited time bargains are a regular feature in such sites. In fact, some of these sites are operate in such secrecy that membership is restricted and you can only join by referral. Thanks to these sites, you can now stock up on the latest Vera Wang and Atalanta Weller’s for less than the original price. Discounts can be as high as 70 per cent of the original price. While the seasons must haves are always there, my closet’s also sprinkled with some past-season stock. The Internet’s a great place to shop for less within the secrecy of your home.
Unlike buying cheap clothes off the shelf, it makes sense to invest in some high quality fashion. You don’t really buy things on an impulse, there’s a lot of thought and consideration that goes into buying such clothes. And of course, they last longer, so every time you’re looking to ‘reinvent’ yourself, you don’t have to look beyond the closet for inspiration.
Then and Now is an online retail shop managed by a self confessed fashion addict who’s always on the look-out for discount designer clothing. To know more, visit, http://www.thenandnowshop.com
