Israel can be considered a multicultural society, and with that comes the fact that several different languages are spoken there. The two main languages spoken in Israel are Hebrew and Arabic, followed by English, and then various other languages that are spoken by different members of the population. The important thing to remember when learning Hebrew is the evolution of the Hebrew language from ancient times to now. Therefore, if a person decides they want to speak Hebrew, one of the best ways to learn it is by listening to the news in Hebrew or reading it in newspapers.

Does Israeli news in Hebrew encourage one to want to speak Hebrew? The answer is a resounding yes, and for all the right reasons. News items are items of great interest, and what can be more interesting than using local news straight from Israel to learn the Hebrew language? This is an extremely interesting supplement to lessons for anyone who is Jewish or just wants to learn the Hebrew language all the same.

The Hebrew language is phonetic, as opposed to English, so it is generally spoken the same way as it is written. Hebrew words are written ...
... and read from right to left, whereas in English they are written and read left to right. Because of this, news articles written in Hebrew will also read right to left and not left to right, as speakers of English are used to.

News is indeed something that you can employ to help you better learn the Hebrew language. This is because Israel news in Hebrew is not only very interesting to read but is also something that you will eventually want to be able to decipher on your own. It will give you the incentive and the motivation that you need to try and take on what is said to be a difficult language to master. However, the desire and drive to learn can cancel out all else, including the reality that learning Hebrew is a difficult challenge in its own way.

Israel news in Hebrew can be the magic wand of learning a whole new language in that it provides both reading in Hebrew and listening to it as well. Lessons that incorporate elements that are both visual and aural is truly an enriching experience that will enhance your learning ability and give you better tools with which to learn the Hebrew language.
