The Influence That Technology Has In Today’s World!

People have been complaining that "new fangled things" ruin society for the last three thousand years (at least!). Whether its alcohol, drugs or mob mentality many people take advantage of any excuse to revolt against the social conventionality they have been raised to believe in. when something is created to shake their belief, many immediately start opposing even without knowing what exactly they are opposing. Lack of confidence depresses their desire to not conform and these excuses make it safer to temporarily rebel. The more technology the more humans can survive and even prosper. Art is being cut from most curriculums’ because of budget cuts and a general lack of understand or appreciation for its value. Our society teaches its members from an early age to conform and obey. Science still suffers from a perceived disagreement with religion made only worse by a few vocal scientists that claim it disproves god. In America, faith is currently prized more than critical thinking. In order to change this we need to remove the distrust and perceived threat people have regarding science and technology.

Technology has helped ...
... and aided us in many ways. It has brought the world come together, it has created new employment avenues, and it has saved many lives and has made the world a better place to live in. Technology did aid some bad influence in the world; people who support technology are not going to deny that. Technology has been exploited by many. Nobody is going to stop technology from prospering and improving. Whether technology makes human life greatly better, or ends it altogether, it does not matter. To me, scientists might hope to help finding some clues for improvement mainly in the last element. Before that, they will probably need to somehow agree on what "improvement" means.

I like pod-casts. I also like calling friends or the technical support services for help when my computer poses some problems. I also enjoy the ease of large scale party organization these 'hand-held gadgets' provide. The upside of technology greatly outweighs the downside, non negotiable, no matter how tragic some particular story may sound. The only foreseeable downside that may potentially outweigh the upside, would be, the failure of a technology that humans were not only strongly and largely dependent on, but wherein we would have reached a point that this particular technology were necessary for all human life. In my own opinion, not going to happen! And even if the entire human race, all animal/plant life, the entire planet would cease to exist due to some technology derived disaster, I need to ask: who cares?

There are many who oppose technology, and then my question to them is, why use technology. One has to go back to Stone Age so that technology does not have any influence on them! From the car that we ride to the fan that we use is technology. Nothing came out just like, they were all invented and revolutionized till date. We have come to a stage where we cannot live without technology gadgets. It has influenced our lives so much that we just cannot live without technology. Though we humans invented everything, we have also become extremely dependant on these inventions. So going around saying technology is taking over lifestyle is a lie, it has already taken over!

Long story short, technology can better us, make us worse, it doesn't really matter much. As long as our lives are 'good' everyday and things can be completed using simpler methods. Upon the creation of man, the only thing that was given to the human race was Hope. Nothing more!
