This is one of the biggest disadvantage which can be listed in the list, as personally speaking I never like to wait for product after selecting and paying for the same. As it reduces the excitement which is there for that product at the time of purchase.

Also sometime it happens that the mobile phone you have order from a particular website reaches you so late that many more products with better schemes and better features arrive in the market.

Third point which is there in our list suggests about the 'mishandling of a product'.

I have personally seen many cases where, these various courier services deliver you your digital camera or mobile phone which you have ordered in such a situation that it can never be repaired or used, and when that customer ask for the replacement from the company they are not ready to believe that, that particular product has reached to that customer in that condition only.
Which at the end means loss of money.

Also there are chances that the product you have ordered reaches you so late that it is of no use for you anymore. And this can happen because of various reason for example you are not at your place when that order reaches you or the courier service which has been chosen by that online shopping website is irresponsible.
