Property in Poland is still one of the best investments you can make in bricks and mortar. In America and many parts of Europe, the credit crunch is biting deep and many people are seeing their equity shrinking by the day. Buying property in Poland has not had the downward spiral effect that many of its neighbours have and prices are cheap in comparison anyhow. Therefore, should properties depreciate, which is not expected, the capital sum will be least affected.
One of the other side effects of the credit crunch is that many people are now being refused a mortgage or cannot borrow as much as they could a few months ago. In the Uk, the number of people actually taking out mortgages for the month of August was down 70% on last year-quite staggering statistics. Because many European countries have witnessed meteoric increases in property prices over the last few years, many claim they are drastically overvalued. This is not so with property in Poland. This inflationary escalation can mean that in times of adversity, the drop in value could be considerable.
Getting a mortgage to buy a property in Poland is still relatively ...
... trouble free. Many of the agents dealing with sales can arrange everything for you and make the whole transaction smooth and simple. They arrange viewing visits for you and these are based on your specific needs. If you are looking for a beach property in Poland, there is a large selection along the stunning Baltic coast. It could be a second home or a holiday retreat; Pomeranian bay and the Gulf of Gdansk are top favourites for many investors. If it's the country life you are seeking, you cannot go wrong. There are literally hundreds of rural settings with quite breathtaking views; forests and verdant scenery abound and you can find some out of the way places to have a peaceful setting at a fraction of the cost you would pay in many European countries for something similar. Another option is to purchase property in Poland near one of the historic cities and towns. The architecture of many buildings is steeped in history and many properties feature impressive wooden paneling and staircases, huge doors and inglenook fireplaces. If you are in search of something more modern, there are apartments finished to a high level of excellence. Again, if you compare prices with similar properties elsewhere, you will be staggered at what you can buy for your money.
The Polish people are very friendly and many have relations working abroad and are only too eager to make foreigners welcome. Whilst not many of you will be conversant in Polish, most people can get by and find others who can speak English.
So before you finalise your next purchase, check out property in Poland, it has to be looked at before you make your final decision.
