Handle Bladder Sling Complications With Ease

Some women will have to undertake vaginal mesh placement surgery and some of them get bladder sling complications as a result of this surgery. The surgery is done for women with rectal or bladder prolapse and it is called as pelvic organ prolapse. To get out women of this condition a mesh is placed for supporting the organ. If the supporting mesh is not placed, they will face the problem of urine leakage. In some cases, there might be erosion of the supporting mesh thereby resulting in sling complications in bladder.
The erosion can arise either in the rectal tissue or in the bladder tissue depending on the exact position where the mesh is placed. This might result in issues like fistula thereby leading to urinary tract infection, which further spreads to the entire body. The complication of bladder sling can cause pain in women during bowel movement and to get out of this problem the following steps are to be taken:
First thing to be done is to consult a surgeon and get his/her advice as to how to remove the mesh. Removal of mesh is highly essential since if it is not removed the sling complications will worsen ...
... thereby spreading infection to other parts of the body. The mesh should either be removed or it should be replaced. However, studies show that it is not always possible to remove the mesh and it becomes impossible even after several surgeries. In this case, it is better to get the help of a trained health worker for protecting the patient from the side-effects.
Slings are used as a surgical treatment for curing urinary incontinence in women and since the surgery can cause complications at the later stages if not done properly, it is better to go for non-surgical methods for getting out the problem of urinary incontinence. Other treatment options include self management techniques like pelvic exercises known as kegels for strengthening the pelvic floor. This technique is known to work well for women with mild stress incontinence. Other treatment available is injecting of collagen and similar substance around the urethra in such a way that urethra can close effectively.
If the non-surgical methods are not working for incontinence in women, sling surgery is followed as the only option by medical professionals and in this case, it is better to get the help of a professional healthcare firm that follows minimal invasive method for performing this surgery in such a way that future complications can be avoided.
