3] Targeting the Wrong Keywords: It is very necessary that the keywords that are used match to what majorly people searches for on the internet. SEO should not be treated as a guessing game and so the keywords should be selected on basis of real data and results. The competitive score and the search volume of the keywords should be considered while selecting the right keywords.

4] Having a Default Layered Navigation: The default layered navigation of Magento ecommerce platform is not perfect for the SEO purpose. This is used commonly by many merchants but it necessarily creates lots of terrible URLs with duplicate content and identical page titles and descriptions.

Other than these mistakes, other SEO strategies should also be taken care of. Magento offers full control over page names, titles, URLs, headings and Meta tags for the products, categories pages and CMS pages. This feature should be used strategically for the optimization of targeted keywords.
