South Africa Is The Beautiful City
South Africa is the beautiful, city in the south of Africa, harbored on the Atlantic and Indian oceans. The country itself is a colony of the British Empire. There are three capitals of the country that fall into three categories; Pretoria which is the executive capital, Bloemfontein which is the judicial capital and Cape Town which is the legislative one. The country is neighbored to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Mozambique and Lesotho. The country is the most populous, financially stable and has the biggest economy of Africa. South Africa has overtime made a mark in the field of cricket. Cricket South Africa Is the governing body for international professional cricket and for amateur cricket. The board was formed in 1991 and was at that time named as the United Cricket Board of South Africa. The country played its first international cricket in the year 1889. The country continued to play with nations from around the world until 1970. It was due to the apartheid laws that South Africa was banned by ICC to play international cricket. This law states that no non- white i.e. blacks and Indians can play cricket.

... It was a racial law and was strictly rejected by the ICC and the international community. The law was finished in 1991 and it was then that South Africa was re admitted as the member of ICC. South Africa also has a national football team. The South African national football team represents South Africa in international matches around the world. Soccer city is the home ground of South Africa also known as FNB stadium. RSA returned to international football only after the apartheid law was lifted in 1991. In 2010, South Africa turned out to be the first country of Africa to hold FIFA world cup. South Africa is the home to many notable personalities like Nelson Mandela who have worked for the betterment and for the fight of human rights. Born on 18th July 1918, Nelson served as the president of South Africa for five years from 1994-1999. He was a leading activist in the South African anti-apartheid movement. He was arrested in 1962, on charges of sabotage and others and was jailed for 27 years.
Nelson Mandela is a world renowned figure, who has been credited for his strong determination for working for demanding of equal rights of black people.South Africa has some of the beautiful beaches on the Atlantic and Indian Ocean. The ports of South Africa were the center of world trade until the construction of Suez Canal, when most of the trade between east and west was carried through this important route. South Africa became a colony of Dutch in 1652. The British took over the Cape Town in 1795 and become the owner of mineral wealth of diamonds and gold. They treated the black people very badly and took them as slaves and thought of them as ‘invisible beings’. These black people were regarded as ‘subalterns’ i.e. people having no voice. South Africa is country which is full of resources both natural and human. It is an ideal place to spend your vacations and enjoy the beautiful serene environment.
