Back in the days, snooker wasn't seen as a business or a miscellaneous practiced sport as it is in the present. People played it, due to the hobby it represented and the pleasure of winning against an opponent. The snooker cues, it is said to have been revealed long ago, in 1807 by a man named Francois Mingaud. For a more appropriate contact with the ball, he attached some leather at the top of the snooker cue. Of course, during time, since people loved playing billiard, pool or snooker, the snooker cues have been highly improved, using special materials and modern methods for a proper weight, slide and a perfect handling.

Anyhow, the snooker cues have changed drastically during the past years, since there have been developed sports like billiard and pool, each having their own type of playing cues. However, it has come to a global expansion and now, everyone ended up in using the three available types of snooker cues, depending on the position and the strategy used in the game play. First time there was ever mentioned the “snooker cues” as a term, it happened in 1875, when the Colonel Sir Neville Chamberlain founded ...
... the Snooker Association. Firstly played in a totally inadequate frame, in India at the gambling games, along with the life and black pool, the snooker automatically became a pleasure and an enjoyment for numerous people, professionals or amateurs. At the beginning there were only black and red balls, but with the time being, in the game, there were included yellow, pink, blue, brown and green ones, until it has reached to the popular form played so constantly nowadays, using professional snooker cues.

The previous cues made with leather, were later improvised by Peradon. This man, managed to create his first snooker cues looking like ashes with one, two and four points hand spliced cues. Some years after, the solid machine spliced cue became the used butt and today, Peradon is at the top producer's lists, manufacturing fine and qualitative cues for snooker, pool and billiard, in all shapes and sizes for both amateurs and professionals. Nowadays, these cues are meant to make a player reach out performance, especially when it comes to a championship where only the best players are able to participate. The increased popularity of this fine game, managed to push producers into creating a vast array of popular, fine and efficient snooker cues. However, the attention is not focused on the used cue, but on finding the best angle to shoot straight into the hole.

In brief, the snooker cues can be touched and used in bars, by both amateurs and professionals. There are also some special schools which provide classes for beginners, if you are a fan of this sport and would like to find out all the benefits of a high class cue. It's important to know how to take advantage of your snooker cues, in order to become a champion and a leader in this fantastic sport! Played world wide, by people of all ages, snooker is voted on the top rated sport activities, by both men and women.
