Agra is an extremely charming city wrapped in an old world charm with traces of modern civilization making their presence felt in the region, thus the region stands as a perplexing mix of modernity and traditions, over whelming yet mesmerizing at the same time. This charming little city sitting on the banks of River Yamuna is widely recognized as well as most visited tourist destination of India. The city is widely renowned for its grand monument dedicated to love, the 'Taj Mahal', which is also a UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site. Along with that there are two more interesting UNESCO World Heritage Sites present in the region namely the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri among others.

Home to three World Heritage Sites, Agra is a very rich region in terms of culture, traditions and heritage. A trip to Agra does not only mean a trip to the world renowned Taj Mahal, but entails a trip down the history pages, walking through the narrow bylanes holding tons of history, exploring various facets of the city along with enjoying the modern vibrancy offered in the region.

Agra is a pretty fascinating holiday destination offering plenty of interesting tourist attractions like the three UNESCO Heritage Sites of Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, along with that some of the other attractions offered in the city include Swami Bagh, Ram Bagh, Mehtab Bagh, Balkeshwar Temple, Kailash Temple, Sikandra, Itmad - Ud - Daulah's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Chini Ka Roza and the local markets among others, which are renowned for its bangles, leather goods, perfumes and miniature Taj models. A must do in the region is feast on the widely renowned 'pethas' (Indian Sweets) and the large variety of Indian chats available in the region.

Agra being one of the most popular tourist destinations of the country attracts swarms of tourists from all parts of the country and also from various corners of the world throughout the year and as such there is no dearth of hotels and resorts in Agra catering to the lodging needs of the myriad of travelers visiting the region. The various hotels and resorts of the region are also found across varied budget segments ranging from the high-end luxury hotels to the modest budget and economy accommodations, so as to cater to all tastes and preferences of the myriad of travelers visiting the region.
