French Art: The Way It Transformed The World's Aesthetic Standards

Rococo
During the late 1500s, the prevalent décor type was baroque, ...

The rococo kind of décor, born in the late 1700s, was a respond to this, and it strived to resurrect whimsy designing in a home. This style reestablishes optimism and femininity, along with lightheartedness in French décor and, eventually, the world.
Gothic Architecture
Majority of churches and buildings in Europe that are still present today included the Gothic type of architecture. These structures are made in large scales, with ribbed vaults that rise towards the heavens and huge, detailed, stained-glass windows. Chartres Cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris, and Saint-Denis were all made after the Gothic kind of architecture.
Impressionism
On the latter half of the 19th century, French art got a boost due to world-famous artists like Pierre Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet who developed the Impressionist movement, that continued to be the most recognizable form of French art. French paintings that follow the Impressionist style were painted in the open and tried to take a single moment in time.

French paintings of this type had themes like dragonflies, mythological creatures, oceanic scenes, and so on.
