All of us have heard or watched the movie- My Big Fat Greek Wedding but whoever knows about India and has seen an Indian wedding knows what it actually means with the proverb changed from Greek to Indian obviously. Weddings are always an occasion to celebrate and enjoy festivities but talking about it in terms of India is making it pompous and full of colour and vigour. You just have to talk about weddings and everyone in the family gets his or her share of work from someone to handle the flowers with someone to look after the food. Some get divided to take care of the guests while some start already deciding on their traditional dresses for different occasions.

In earlier times weddings were an occasion to be celebrated at homes but there has been a serious change in trend from palatial houses hosting the feast to it being celebrated on huge rented or owned farmhouses. The trend has taken on such a fever that we now have special farmhouses that are just meant for hosting weddings. Leading this trend is Delhi, India’s capital city with a large number of such farmhouses. A wedding farmhouse in Delhi is quite a common ...
... sight where you have these farmhouses dolled up for the occasion for its guests. In fact you see that more of these farmhouses are buckled up one against each other offering wedding space to many such events at one go. So if you already own a farmhouse in Delhi that has existed long before this trend even caught up, then you know you have a huge advantage to your credit.

For those who don’t have a farmhouse in Delhi, there is absolute no worry as renting a wedding farmhouse is as good an option. The only thing is that you will have to shell a few bucks in comparison to those who already have one but who looks at money and how much one is spending when you are out and ready to lavishly celebrate a wedding. In fact in Indian weddings no one cares about the amount that either the bride’s side is spending or the bridegroom’s side is spending. It is such a lavish and splendid affair that you almost get intertwined in enjoying the delicacies and getting dressed up for the several events that take place before the actual rituals take place.

More so, the concept of a wedding farmhouse in Delhi has taken up the city by a swirl because it such a large space that you can easily perform all functions and ceremonies within one confined space. Call upon the guests, perform all ceremonies and events, wear all colourful things and celebrate- this is what an Indian wedding is all about.
