Bangalore Packages - Silicon Valley Of India

Earlier Bangalore was known as a peaceful city. It was then called the “City of Gardens” and the “Pensioner’s Paradise”. Now it is a large metropolitan city. Bangalore is a major centre of Information Technology and is popularly known as the Silicon Valley of India.
According to a legend, the name Bengaluru was bequeathed to the place by King Vira Ballala. It is said that during his hunting expedition in forest the King lost his way and was thirsty and hungry. He was then served boiled beans by an old woman and the king named the place Benda Kaalu Uru (The Town of Boiled Beans) and Bengaluru is its adaptation. The Britishers anglicized it to Bangalore and the city is known by its original name Bengaluru now.
Bangalore has many things to offer for tourists and travellers. It has number of palaces, gardens, lakes, palatial buildings, temples, churches, IT institutions and malls.
Bengaluru palace is the residence of the Maharajas of Mysore in the city. Tipu Sultan's Palace was the summer resort of Tipu Sultan. Both these palaces are open for visitors now.

... houses Karnatka Legislative Houses, is one of the star attractions in Bangalore. A marvel of non-Dravidian architecture, this imposing granite building was inaugurated in 1956. Seshadari Iyer Memorial building is situated in Cubbon Park. Built of red sand stone, it houses a public library and Bengaluru High Court.
Among the temples, ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple is very popular. This temple is built on a hillock. Maruthi Mandir, a Hanuman Temple, is located near ISKCON temple. Other prominent temples in Bangalore include Gavi Gangadeshwara Cave Temple, Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Banaswadi Hanuman Temple, Sri Raja Rajeshwari Temple, DakshinaMukhy Nandeeshwara Temple and Meenakshi Sundaram Temple.
Holy Trinity Church, located at Trinity circle, is a major landmark in Bangalore. Built in 1851 the church can accommodate 700 people. St. Mary's Basilica, the oldest church in Bangalore, has been elevated to the status of a minor basilica.
Bangalore has number of lakes and parks. Among the lakes which attract large number of people are Ulsoor Lake and Sanky Tank. Lalbagh Botanical Garden has a lake inside it. Cubbon Park is a major attraction for visitors.
What differentiates Bangalore from many other cities and tourist destinations is its climate. It enjoys a relatively pleasant climate throughout the year. Since Bangalore is a big city, it is well connected by air, rail and road. Bangalore has large number five-star, budget and luxury hotels to suit the needs of people.
Tour operators offer Bangalore packages to tourists for stay and visit to places in Bangalore and neighbouring places like Mysore. The Bangalore package provides pick-ups of visitors from airport and railway stations.
