In short self-disciplined support techs are more reliable, dependable to handle more responsibilities that their less disciplined counterparts.

Prioritize Tasks

Whenever tech support agents are given control over scheduling their time, they will be easily able to prioritize their tasks. Also in order to effective prioritize the task; the tech support agents should have a detailed knowledge about each of the employee’s role, understanding the nature of business, and a fair knowledge about the priorities of the business. It also involves in ranking the various employee in a job function hierarchy.

Dedication and Commitment

This may sound obvious to some of us, but still it is really necessary for this job. A tech support agent should be committed in seeing the problem and should show great dedication and interest in solving the problem. Also it doesn't stop there. The dedication and commitment should be always there when the customer call the next time and they even have to make sure that the problem doesn't occur in the future again.

In short the jobs and duties of a tech support agent are not simple.
