Families Come Together Around Backyard Games
In the past there was a lot of popularity with backyard games. A lot of people would play them with their friends and their families, but it seems as though video games have slowly taken over the minds of most people today. They aren't headed outside to play like they used to be. It's true that there are some times of year in some parts of the country where this can be difficult to do the deep south in August or January in New Hampshire but there are plenty of opportunities to be outside when the weather is nice, and most people still don't take advantage of these times. They become couch potatoes and stay indoors and forget all about fresh air. If you'd like to break out of that mold and want something to do with your family and friends, you might want to take up playing the Cornhole game. The rules aren't confusing, the game is easy to play, and it's not physically demanding. That being the case, it's one of the most fun games that everyone can play together. Anybody can play and enjoy the game, so you can be eight years old or eighty.
Families can get closer through the playing of the Cornhole game. ...
... Not everybody knows about the Cornhole game, but people in the north and some parts of the west could tell you about it and give you some pointers. They like it so much that they organize tournaments for cash and prizes. That's certainly not a requirement. It takes a special kind of dedicated player for that. You can just use the Cornhole game as something to do when people are starting to get restless at birthday parties, backyard barbeques, family reunions, and any other type of get-together. With these groups, there is usually a mixed demographic. Elderly relatives come in from out of town and the little kids from next door wander over to play. There are bored teenagers and middle aged people trying to feel young again. Every last one of them can participate and enjoy the Cornhole game. Who doesn't want to best that one uncle who can't stop bragging about how great he is?
The chances are high that you'll still like Cornhole, even if you're not a big fan of outdoor games. The game is so easy! It's also not hard to figure out and it's a lot of fun. You simply toss these lightweight cloth bags at the game board. You get points if they stay on the board or go through the hole. If they miss the board or hit it and fall off, you don't. How could it get any less complicated? Sure, there are some subtleties to it like how many points are scored for each thing and how far away you have to stand, but that's it. The game isn't dangerous for young children, and it's not too strenuous for elderly people, since you don't have to jump, run, or throw heavy objects. It's essentially the perfect backyard game for everyone.
