Plumbing is basically is a skilled work in which workers work with pipes, tubes, do plumbing fixture for a drainage system or for drinking water. Someone who does the repairing of the things mentioned above is called a plumber. If we see history then in early ages that is before 19th century there was no or very rare concept of plumbing. In New Stone Age era the first water well was dug which was permanent. Flush toilets were made in mid 19th century. In Roman Empire There was In Door plumbing aqueducts and pipes were installed. There are signs and evidence of public water supply and sanitation in Indus Valley Civilization. In middle and the early modern age Outhouses were used to collect human waste.Fire hydrants were first seen in 19th century. The toilets in Japan in this era were totally different than rest of the world.

The water tap was first seen in 1845. Water Pumps were seen in late 19th century. Water towers which were on roof of skyscrapers were also seen in the late 19th century. Desalination was seen in 20th century. The Materials which are commonly used for plumbing are clay, bamboo, lead or stone. Plastic, ...

Plumbing fixture which is basically a device to deliver and drain the water is designed for people. Some examples are toilet, shower, bathtub, sinks etc. The equipment of plumbing is water meter, filter, water heater, gauge, control system, wrench and many others. In modern days plumbing have totally changed its not as it was mentioned above in the history.

After the industrial age came an era or age which is basically a modern age. In the modern era many things changed totally such as science, war, technology, globalization, capitalism, urbanization, individualism, politics, plumbing and many other things changed in the modern era. Plumbing is now different now there are Septic systems, Fuel gas piping, wrench, drain, vents for taking hot or cool air out, Storm water harvesting, desalination technology, fire stopping, Regulations and many other things. In the modern era the plumbing have become faster than ever plumbing is now matter of days where in early ages it was matter of weeks and months. A plumber now a day can easily repair or plumb things and do it must faster than it was before.
