We all know how important a first impression is, but equally important is a lasting impression and that's where your business card can come into play. After you meet someone and hand him or her your business card that small piece of paper is the only concrete thing they have to remember you by. At a bare minimum the card should tell them your name, company, occupation and contact information. But, your business card should also give them a reminder of who you are as a person. And that is why having a well-designed business card is so important.

While it may seem like a good idea to go with something comfortable and neutral, you should consider creating a personalized business card. These are good if you are in a creative field and don't have a lot of information to convey on your business card. Otherwise you are better off choosing a type font, they look more professional and are easier to read in small spaces.

Creating a business card that has all of your pertinent information is very important as a first step. But, to be truly successful in business you need to personalize your business card to make it memorable.
