What Does It Really Mean To Be A Network Marketer

What does it mean to be a Network Marketer? I ask this because it seems like knowing this means either feast or famine for you. Here’s why:

When you get into anything and expect to be successful at it, you really have to know what your doing and what it’s all about. They have to know everything there is to know about their profession. Yes, they have to be EXPERTS in what they’re doing, don’t they?

Can you imagine how scary the world would be if it weren’t that way? For example, can you imagine universities giving out diplomas to Doctors who didn’t quite understand medicine? Or even worse: a heart surgeon, if he didn’t quite know how the heart works? Sure, he might have a general idea of how things worked, but if he wasn’t an EXPERT in the heart, would you allow him to put you under the knife?

Or do you think that they would pay MILLIONS of dollars (many times, TENS of millions of dollars) to professional sports players, if they weren’t absolute EXPERTS in what they did? Forget that! Would we even waste our time WATCHING them?… Of course not! So, no matter what it is that ...
... you’re doing, one thing is for sure:

SUCCESS FOLLOWS EXPERTISE! Yes, true success cannot and does not come by accident.

So, it is the same when it comes to our Network Marketing businesses. To be successful in Network Marketing, you’ve got to know everything there is to know about your industry. That means you’ve got to know about the real reason why companies decide to use the Network Marketing model instead of the traditional method of business growth; you must know the in’s and out’s of your product or seervice, why it’s unique, and what type of people usually buy it and why. And since this is essentially a selling business, you’ve got to know and always be improving or sharpening your selling skills.

At the same time, you should be investing in yourself. This means that you should be trying to improve you personal development. Learn how to be a good leader. Learn how to get things done – how to be organized. Improve your people skills and your outlook on life. All these things are a must to acquire and maintain a successful business.

But more important than all these things – the thing that’s the basis of what we do- is that we have to learn how to MARKET! We have to know what it means to be a marketer. Because, guys, that’s what we are! We are Network Marketers (emphasis on the ‘Marketers’) And if we want to be successful like a Doctor or a professional sports player, than just like a Doctor or a professional sports player we have to be EXPERTS in our field. Yes, we have to know without a doubt how to market. We have to be so good at what we do that if we were put out in the desert, in the middle of nowhere, and somehow all we had was a telephone and our mouths to speak, we could still make 6 figures in a relatively short period of time!

Ask yourself: Can I do that now? In other words, do I know how to make as much money as I want? Are my skills and knowledge so strong that I can take just about any product, any service, from practically any company and be successful with it in only a matter of months? Am I completely self-sufficient, or do I depend almost completely on my upline? Yes, can I honestly say that I am an expert?

Again, remember this pure and simple truth: Success follows expertise.
