Maruti To Have A Rocking 2012!
Maruti India is country’s largest car maker. It has been offering the consumers a wide range of cars, according to their pocket. Maruti India started its year (2012) with a bang and launched 5 cars, including Maruti SX4 Celebration, Maruti Swift Alpha, new Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Swift Dzire Tour and Maruti Ertiga. And this year will continue to be delightful for Maruti as the firm all set to launch five more cars. These new cars will comprise of face-lifted Maruti Ritz, diesel variants of Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Alto, Maruti XA Alpha and new Maruti 800.
Talking about the new Maruti SX4 Celebration, the firm has blessed the car with new seats, fresh chrome inserts and new floor mats that makes it a perfect celebration vehicle. Rest of the specifications like engine, power, mileage and exteriors remains the same. The price has gone up a tiny bit. But the changes done in the interiors surely add a bit more charm to the car.
Next Maruti came with new Maruti Swift Dzire, which is wider than the old Maruti Swift Dzire but has compact boot. The new Dzire also has a larger wheelbase. The petrol variant of this ...
... sedan is powered by K-12 M VVT engine, whereas the diesel variant comes with D13A DDiS turbo charged diesel engine that has manages to deliver an awesome mileage of 23.4 km per litre. On the other hand, the petrol variant conveniently delivers 19.1 km per litre of mileage. This sedan is spacious than the old one and has quite comfortable interiors as well.
Followed by Maruti Swift Dzire sedan, Maruti brought in Maruti Swift Dzire Tour, which is basically the old Dzire sedan with a new name. This sedan is especially launched as a taxi this time and the firm has pretty high hopes from this. Maruti Suzuki India rolled out Maruti Swift Dzire Tour in two models, LXI for Rs. 4.88 Lakh and LDI for Rs. 5.91 Lakh only.
On April 12th 2012, Maruti India rolled out its much awaited MPV, called Maruti Ertiga to the Indian car bazaar. Ertiga is being publicized as LUV (Life Utility Vehicle). With a starting price of just Rs. 5.89 lakh, Maruti Ertiga managed to create waves in the car industry and directly challenged the dominating MPV, Toyota Innova. Maruti India acted smartly and rolled out Ertiga in both diesel and petrol variants. The diesel version of this MPV comes with DDiS turbo engine, which is highly fuel efficient whereas the petrol variant of this car has 1.4 litre of K-14 VVT petrol engine.
After few of launch of Ertiga, Maruti launched a new variant of Maruti Swift, called Maruti Swift Alpha, which came packed with 10 new stunning features. Some of these new splendid interior features comprise of sophisticated seat covers, high quality designer mats, elite interior style kit, and advanced music system with Bluetooth interface with modern speakers. On the outside, the door sill guard is present with stylish door visor and mud flaps. All these features have been added without any extra cost.
Besides launching so many cars in the beginning of this year, Maruti India is also planning to bring in some more surprises for its loyal consumers. The company might come up more cars, which will include in Maruti Ritz facelift version, Maruti XA Alpha SUV, new Maruti 800 and diesel versions of Wagon R and Alto.
Maruti XA Alpha SUV was showcased at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi. Now the company is planning to bring in this SUV during Diwali, which would start up the battle with Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. On the other hand, Maruti Ritz hatchback has been given a mid life makeover and is expected to be launched in next couple of week. Engine options here have not been altered but the exteriors and interiors have been refurbished to make it look more enhanced and stunning.
Next on the list is the brand new Maruti 800 that could be launched in 2012. Maruti India has sadly stopped the production of its iconic small car, M800 because it cannot keep up with the new pollution norms. But, Maruti 800 was the car that helped the firm to get to the top spot of the Indian car bazaar. Therefore, Maruti India is planning to bring in the new version of Maruti 800, which would be based on Alto’s platform and will sport enhanced engine and amplified features.
Every car maker in the industry is well aware of the high demand for diesel cars and Maruti India knows how to cash on it. Hence, this auto giant is all set to bring in the diesel variants of its most popular cars, Maruti Alto and Maruti Wagon R in 2012. However, the diesel engine, which would power both the cars hasn’t been revealed by the firm as yet, but speculations in the market suggest that they will sport 1 litre of diesel motor similar to that of Chevrolet Beat Diesel.
On the whole, we could say that Maruti India has surely a lot in store for its consumers and the line of these cars will certainly not dishearten them. Maruti has always priced its cars competitively and this time around, the company will keep the prices of the new cars affordable and reasonable, so that it doesn’t burn a hole in consumer’s pocket. Hopefully it will help in fetching quite a desirable amount of revenue as well.
