Breast lift surgery or Mastopexy as it is known in the medical world, refers to types of optional, non-reflex, medical procedures that raise and enhance the breast, either individually or both breasts. The surgery usually includes moving the nipples and adjacent area, eliminating excess epidermis and tensing up the rest of the epidermis to raise the bosom up.

Mastopexy medical procedure can be conducted single handedly. Sometimes the process includes adding of implants to give necessary lift whenever required. When this is the case the surgical procedure is called a Breast Augmentation.

It is important to note that the effects of a lift are only short-term, augmentation is more enduring. After a breast lift, the natural ageing carries on and over time the lifted skin and cells are subjected to growing older and severity, and the bosom will start to sag again.

There are two types of breast lifts, recently available

1. Modified Breast lift
2. Full Breast lift.

The modified lift was a progression of the full mastopexy lift, developed to decrease the scarring by restricting the number of ...
... cuts required. The down side of this process over a full lift is that the change and lift is not according to expectation. So it's a business off less scarring but also less lift. On the other hand full breast lift leaves a huge scar.
There are many different kinds of the customized lift; the most typical is the Benelli lift 9 (also known as the concentric mastopexy or the donut lift) which includes the treatment of rounded element of cells from the nipple area, with a focus on the top part of the circle, offering a lift to the breast.

The full lift needs a cut underneath of the breast, along the crease line and a cut from here to the nipple area and around the nipple itself, often called the inverted T cut. From this cut, the doctor eliminates unwanted skin and this will guarantee a very effective surgery and breast lift. Due to the characteristics of the cuts there will be scarring around the nipple and under the breast along the surgery lines.

It is important that if you are considering a lift, complete or customized, you select a highly experienced and educated doctor. Most nations around the world have a plastic surgeon certified list. You can take the help of this database. Cost of breast lift varies from place to place. Its overall price is from € 1900 to € 2640.
