Human Resource is the term used to define the human capital or workforce that works for any organization. This is said to be the most important asset with any company as the success of any organization majorly depends on the efficiency of the human resource or rather say its talent pool and how it’s dealt with.
What is HR or what is Human Resource are questions that are no more oblivion to people as unlike the past, HR is dealt with much more importance.
HR is studied as a unique and separate branch of management due to its increased importance these days. And the takers know that this is no piece of cake. They are fully equipped with the knowledge of what is HR or what is human resource.The students taking Human resource as a specialization aim to end up at various strategic and important positions in the corporate world. They study, not only the basic stuff such as compensation management and payroll preparation but advanced human psychology subjects too. Students, in short are taught to manage the human resource in any organization and this called human Resource management.
If we talk about an organization or the corporate world, in the past, what is HR management or what is human resource management would have been answered including only certain functionalities, in the light that HR professionals hold no top positions. Today, this has completely changed, Human Resource professionals are no more viewed as those whose functional area is just limited to recruitment advice or payroll preparation, which is not to say is an easy job, but they have advanced to top decision making positions where they help formulate and implement strategies. They coordinate planning and development. They manage industrial disputes, mergers nad acquisitions and even act as liaison between the management and the workforce unions.
The overall responsibilities of the human resource professionals also include representing or presenting the company in the outer worlds as public relation professionals, which is any day an important part to play.
