Being unemployed, is definitely the hardest phase of anyone’s life. You become more and more discouraged as you run out of options and in times like these, you will find yourself considering a personal loan to get through. One major difficulty is finding a lender who is willing to Student Loans out money to those who have no steady source of income. Failing to pay the installments in time, would lead to rising debts. Fret not, for there are many lines of actions that you can take, such as making a large down payment, home equity line of credit, and debt consolidation.
Making a large down-payment, like about 30% of the loan amount upfront, would make many lenders willing to give you the loan, even if you are unemployed. You can turn to your friends and family for a helping hand in case you can’t make a down payment. Large down payments often make the lender very comfortable in lending you the money, as down payments make up a‘re assurance’ for their money. A large down payment also could lower your interest prospects, and you could bargain for a higher repayment term, if you are loaning from individuals or brokers.

... Another viable option is the home equity line of credit (HELOC) against the equity of your own house. Thus you would have a rotating line of credit at your hands, and the credit shall be available again as soon as you pay off the loan. Most of the times, they won’t ask for proof of employment, as the loan is tied to your house as collateral, but should you default on the installments, then you will have the insecurity of losing your home. Consider this only if when you want an educational, medical or Need business loan, as small loans are not viable.
Other options are Student Loan or dealing with a pawn broker. Debt consolidation loans will help you to consolidate your existing debts, but they won’t account for additional credit in your hands. So you could pay off all your outstanding debts and get a good credit rating, but it’s not useful if you want additional money. Pawn brokers ask for security, so you could mortgage any of your valuable assets for a certain percentage of its value. You would have a specific time for repayment, but again you run the risk of forfeiting your asset if you can’t make the payments
