The act of preventing slips and falls inside homes, offices, and buildings can now easily be prevented. If everyone only believes that accidents need not happen to anyone, then they won’t have doubts about applying anti-slip treatments to their floors. Some people think that the whole process of making a floor slip-free is a little too expensive. But that isn’t always the case. There are many alternatives to make your floor slip-free without causing a huge dent on your budget.

A good example would be the anti-slip tape and tiles. These are easy-to-apply floor tapes that would make almost any surface skid-free. All you have to do to install them is to peel off the product’s adhesive backing and attach it to the floor. Cover the entire area that you want to make slip-free. These tapes and tiles are created for indoor and outdoor use.

By far, these tapes and tiles are the cheapest and the most convenient anti-slip solutions for your floor. They are commonly made with the most durable abrasive in the market today, which is aluminum oxide. Ideally the tapes are what you should install inside showers, bathrooms, ...
... kitchen, and the pool area. There are glow-in-the-dark slip tapes available as well if you want to create a more distinct look at night.

Anti-slip tapes and tiles are recommended for areas that oftentimes get wet. They offer non-skid protection and may come in different colors and levels of coarseness. There are black, red, yellow, and blue anti-slip tapes available today in coarse and extra coarse options. There are embossed anti-slip tapes too and they are ideal for barefoot areas like bathtubs, pools, and even inside boats or yachts.

Anti-slip tapes and tiles come in varying prices, depending on their size and width. One-inch tapes cost around $12 while the wider 40-inch tapes are priced at almost $500. Tiles can be purchased for as low as $4.

Although these tapes and tiles need not be professionally installed, it is highly recommended that you read about the proper spacing when applying it on your floor. There are also certain textures that are more ideal for the space that you’re placing the tapes on so learn more about them as well. Other items needed to complete the installation are edge glues which can add more strength to the tape’s edges, making them less prone to stiletto heels.

Making your home slip-free is indeed jiffy these days. Now, you don’t have to postpone the urge to make your home safer and sounder. You don’t need another accident to trigger the renovation. After all, you don’t need to do a major overhaul of your home just to make it skid-free. Installing tapes and tiles on key areas is enough for a start. But if you want your home to be 100% slips and falls protected, try to consult with a professional to know what’s best for your floor given at the most reasonable price. It’s time that every home, building, or office becomes a zero-accident zone.
