Why Would Anyone Want To Get A Beer Trophy?
Really, why would anyone want to get a beer trophy? Well, if you have a bar, then giving out beer trophies is one way to get people into your bar and try different types of beer. This gets people into the bar and also encourages them to try these beers that might be offered in the bar. They can get a card that is punched each time they order a particular beer. Or an award for drinking the most beer! Far Out Awards is the only place to get a realistic looking beer trophy.
This is a popular marketing strategy that is often used in places that are breweries and have many different brews. They want to encourage people to come in and try the beers. Most of these places also serve food, so they know that a great deal of those who come into the place are going to want to have something to eat with that beer. So they are going to spend money eating and drinking and at the same time, they are going to be vying for the prize. Which is the beer trophy that they get when they have finally, after months, tried every beer in that bar and restaurant. They are going to feel good about themselves.

This is good marketing, again, for the restaurant that relies very heavily upon word of mouth. This is direct, bandwagon marketing - the strongest principle there is in marketing.
Now the same concept can apply to just about any restaurant. Take, for example, the simplest restaurant there is in America - the all American hot dog stand. This is a concept that is one of the oldest when it comes to restaurants and is one that is distinctly American. It is also very cheap to get started. Many restaurants started as hot dog stands. So how do they get someone into the hot dog stand? There are two different ways. A restaurant may choose any one of them or they can use both if they want. They can appeal to those who want to compete against others by having a hot dog eating contest. This is one way, but there is also another that works better - they can appeal to individual competitors who want to try every single hot dog they have. They can have many different types and then give the person a hot dog trophy for trying every type of hot dog there is. This is a good way to go about this type of marketing because the person again, has a positive image of the place - they won a hot dog trophy and they tried a bunch of different hot dogs.
This concept in giving a trophy is better than the hot dog eating contest because some of those who come away from that contest will have a negative view of the hot dog stand. Because they will be sick from eating too many hot dogs. When appealing to those from a competitive angle in marketing and offering a trophy, you are better to appeal to the main motivating factor, which is their sense of pride.
