The law has been categorized into two main sets of rules, these are the criminal law and Traffic law. Majority of court cases are based on these sets of laws which have been put in place specifically to ensure the safety of every citizen. Breaking any of the two sets of laws has been seen to result in various forms of harm to innocent civilians, ranging from physical and emotional trauma to, in severe cases, death. It is, therefore, important to have basic knowledge of these laws, not only to avoid court charges, but to ensure safety of all surrounding us.

Criminal Law refers to the set of rules that have been put down to prevent any conduct that may endanger the lives of innocent people; this may include: robbery using of assault weapons, assault of innocent civilians or murder. Such acts may be include: drink Driving, which is driving with exceed PCA (Prescribed Concentration Alcohol); dangerous or reckless driving, driving under the influence; driving whilst suspended or disqualified. Anyone charged with any of these traffic offences is required to appear in court.
