Difference Between A Criminal And A Traffic Offender
A criminal is one that has been arrested for breaking a criminal law, while a traffic offender is one charged for breaking any of the set traffic rules.

In both cases, there are a number of penalties that come with both cases. The penalties are differing depending on the extent of the crime. One is said to have committed a traffic offense whenever they act in a manner that is not allowed in the traffic law. Such acts may be include: drink Driving, which is driving with exceed PCA (Prescribed Concentration Alcohol); dangerous or reckless driving, driving under the influence; driving whilst suspended or disqualified. Anyone charged with any of these traffic offenses is required to appear in court. Having a lawyer help you put up a defence against any of these offenses will save you from spending time in jail, or getting your driving license suspended or disqualified.
It is important, when charged with any offence be it criminal or traffic, to ensure that your free yourself from the charges, since criminal records can be very damaging to an individuals reputation. It is for this reason that lawyers are able to come into the picture, to ensure that any charges leveled against you does not result in any penalties. This can only be done by successfully proving that you are innocent against any of the charges. This will require proper understanding of the above mentioned laws, your rights and how to present your case before court.
