Government jobs in India are hot examinations nowadays. After the Sixth Pay Commission references the salaries of government employees have increased and are at equality with the best private companies. Job security and other benefits related with government jobs are also appealing the youth to make a career in the public sector.

To get a job in the Central government one has to clear a collective economical exam conducted by the biggest employment agency Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The Commission promotes vacancies for various posts in Employment News and its website as well. UPSC directly employees candidates in the Indian Administrative Services, Foreign Services & Police Services and other fields like Medicine, Engineering, Geology, Forest, Economics, Armed Forces, Railways, Revenue & Customs, Defence and Audit & Accounts to name a few. There are also employment streets in the subordinate services in the state that are advertised by the Subordinate services board as and when the posts are empty. However, most of the jobs in the secondary services are contract founded that gives it a small difficulty.

Teaching sector is also very popular among the educated youth as the demand for teachers has not seen an adverse trend till now. In this field there are two choices either to go for school education or for college teaching. School teaching can be started after a Bachelor’s degree in any field with the vital qualification of B Ed, while college teaching requires a Master’s degree and requirement of NET main by the UGC.

Banking is another sector where job offers are huge and growth prospects attractive. Most of the public sector banks behaviour examination to recruit officers and other staff. The pay package is attractive and benefits abundant for a person working in the banking sector. Overall the chances in the public sector are many and a reputable salary gives the employee great approval.
