Jaipur is one of the most popular and also one of the highly visited tourist destinations of India. The region forms an integral part of the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Indian tourism industry, the other two being Delhi and Agra. The region is widely renowned for its royal elegance, grandeur and an air of mysticism that wraps the entire area and draws in tourists from all parts of the world. The city not only gives tourists a glimpse of Indian royalty but also a glimpse in to the culture and traditions of the city. A visit to this grad city of India is extremely fulfilling and enriching experience.

The Pink City as it is fondly referred to as, also has a rich history which adds layers to the character of the region. The city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, ruler of Amber and served as the bastion of Rajput Empire. The city was also one of the first planned cities of the country.

Tourists can also chuck the four wheels and ride an elephant or a camel for a different experience. Shopaholics can also opt to explore the local markets famous for its colorful rajais, jewels and various other handicrafts and local trinkets among others.

There is also no dearth of good hotels in Jaipur catering to the lodging needs of the multitude of tourists visiting the region. The hotels in Jaipur are found across all budget categories ranging from the luxury and heritage hotels to the economy and budget hotels thus, catering to all tastes and preferences of the myriad of travelers.
Jaipur is also well connected to the rest of the country and various corners of the world. A royal way to travel and explore the region is by the ‘Palace on Wheels’, a luxury train traveling through the Golden Triangle of Indian tourism.
