Agra is by far one of the most popular and most recognizable tourist destinations of India. The region is widely renowned for its grand monument dedicated to love the ‘Taj Mahal’ a UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site. Sitting along the banks of River Yamuna, the city looks extremely divine and mesmerizing, especially on a moonlit night. The city is hugely popular among the tourist circle drawing in thousands of tourist from all corners of the world. The city is also home to two more UNESCO Heritage Sites and is one of the culturally and literary rich regions of the country.

Once the capital of Hindusthan under the Mughal era, Agra is a distant far from the golden beauty it was owing to unplanned rapid development of the region and the cropping of hawker stalls in and around the great monument.

There is plenty to see and explore in Agra from the historical monuments, gardens and parks adorning the landscape of the region. There is also no dearth of good hotels in Agra offering quality lodging facilities to the multitude of tourists visiting the region. The hotels in Agra are present across all budget categories ranging from the luxury hotels and resorts to the economy and budget hotels thus, catering to varied tastes and preferences of the myriad of travelers.

Agra gets pretty hot during the summers and as such winters can be said to be the best time to visit the region. However weather has never proved to be a deterrent for people flocking to the region. The city is also well connected by means of air, rail and chain of State and National highways. The city has its very own domestic airport along with several major and small railway stations, which connect the city to every region of the country.
