They are some of the goodies that both the young and old enjoy. There are plenty of ideas to incorporate when baking them which makes it an interesting experience all together. If you have never baked cakepops before, then do not expect it to be one of those complex ordeals you cannot wait to finish. If you have found trouble making cake pops, worry no more. The process can run smoothly only if you have a solid yet basic recipe by your side not to mention the useful tips given below.

You may also want to make smaller balls since they carry less weight which can be supported nicely using the stick. In fact, you can use toothpicks if the cakepops are really small. Put on a nice decoration and make them your small bundles of sweetness and fun.

Candy melts are great when making cakepops. Also, make sure that you put on any decorations before the chocolate melts. Decorations like sprinkles stick nicely when the chocolate is still warm. However, do not overheat the chocolate. Overheating the chocolate only makes it heavy and thick. This means that dipping the cakepops would be a big mess. Some of them may end up breaking up inside the chocolate and you would not like the scene. A little butter can help smooth out the chocolate before dipping the cake balls.

When decorating you always have to put on your creative gear and give the cakepops an appealing design. There are numerous of decoration styles you can add on them. However, you should choose a design depending on your guests. If the cakepops are for the kids’ birthdays, add cartoon characters they would love. You may also decorate cupcakes or cake pops depending on the occasion. For instance, if baking during Easter, cake pops that resemble the Easter bunny would be a great idea. Halloween cake pops should also have some decorations like pumpkin heads and stuff. At the end of the day, you have the freedom to be creative, imaginative and enjoy. Cake pops bring so much fun and baking them should be too.
