John, Paul, George and Ringo: four names that became synonymous with a time and place. For many fans, the music of the Beatles was a reflection of how our culture was changing during the turbulent 60s. These four lads from Liverpool had long hair, talked with funny accents and represented a kind of anti-authoritarian personality. Their music was rock 'n roll and it helped reshape and redefine the music industry. Of course, the vast majority of Beatle fans didn’t need to think about the social impact of the Beatles; they just liked listening to the tunes. To experience the musical purity of this group, it's best to go "old school" and play Beatles vinyl albums on turntables. It's a sound like no other.

It's hard to imagine any discussion of the history of modern music that won't include the Beatles. Even though Elvis could be credited with setting the hearts of many teenage girls afire, the phenomenon that was the Beatles has been hard to replicate throughout the years. This is especially true given the fact that many parents didn't want their children listening to the Beatles in the first place. That certainly didn't ...
... stop the kids from scooping up as many The Beatles vinyl albums they could get their hands on. During the heyday of their musical career, it seems as though every song the Beatles released became a number one hit.

The Beatles’ impressive catalog began with the 1963 release Please Please Me. On this debut album were such instant classics as Love Me Do, Twist and Shout, I Saw Her Standing There, and the title track, Please Please Me. It was just four months later that VPI record cleaner was buzzing, thanks to the second release, entitled With the Beatles. Can you imagine any modern musician releasing hit albums within four months of each other?

The Beatles’ vinyl album catalog continued to grow with another double release in 1964 of a Hard Day's Night and Beatles For Sale. Just within those two albums alone were enough hits to allow any band to retire for life, but the Beatles were just getting started. Featured on these records were A Hard Day’s Night, If I Fell, Can't Buy Me Love, I Should've Known Better, Eight Days a Week, and I'm a Loser.

1965 brought two more seminal Beatles vinyl albums in the form of Help and Rubber Soul. To many fans, this was the beginning of the evolution of the Beatles as they began to move from the head bobbing pop tunes to more deeply meaningful rock 'n roll. Among the instant classics on these two albums were Help, You Got to Hide Your Love Away, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday, Drive My Car, Nowhere Man, Michelle, In My Life, and Girl.

In the next five years, the Beatles continued cranking out seminal classics such as Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, and their final album, entitled Let It Be and released in 1970. That was the end of an era and the Beatles’ illustrious recording career. It only took them seven years to change everything!
