Having toasted muesli for breakfast or a muesli bar for a snack is a good idea. If you want an even better idea, you can make both of them yourself to ensure you are getting nothing but goodness in your chosen muesli selection. No, it is not all that tough to cook them up either. All you need is the right toasted muesli recipe or muesli bar recipe and you’ll quickly discover it is pretty easy (and quick) to make both. You might even be able to do so with basically the same core recipe.

So, let’s take a look at what you need to do to make your own personal muesli bar or toasted breakfast serving.

Toasted Muesli Recipe

The ingredients for toasted muesli include rolled oats, desiccated coconut, hazelnuts, slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds, honey, sunflower seeds, canola oil, and dried cranberries or apricots, roughly chopped.

The rolled oats, the nuts, the seeds and the coconut are all mixed together without any heating in a bowl. On the stove, you will simmer the honey and vegetable oil, which will then be added to the bowl. Mix it up thoroughly and then scoop the contents into a baking pan. Put the ...
... pan into the oven for about ten minutes. Remove it from the oven and as it cools you can mix in the dried fruit selections.

Basic Muesli Bar Recipe

In a muesli bar recipe, you will need the following ingredients: rolled oats, dried, unsweetened cranberries, unsweetened desiccated coconut, raw pumpkin seeds, sunflower kernels, sesame seeds, flax seeds, wheat germ, honey, brown sugar, and butter. The amount you will need depends on how many bars you wish to make.

You will need two pans on the top of your stove, a frying pan and a saucepan. In the frying pan, you will cook the many sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds, the oats, the coconut, and the wheat germ. Cook for about ten minutes and then let it cool in a metal bowl. Then, stir in the flax seeds and cranberries.

In the saucepan, you cook all the butter, honey and sugar for about four minutes and then add them to the metal bowl. Stir up the contents of the bowl and then pour it into a pan. After cooling, cut the bars in the size you wish.

As you can see, these are both very easy recipes and they do provide you with incredibly healthy selections and snacks.
