My first love turned in to a lifelong bond. Are you thinking if this is possible?

My long time boy friend, Mark (soon to be my husband) had to move to Canada (Job transferred). We know each other since our high school days. Both of us never knew that we will get along so well. We discovered our love for each other only when I went for a vacation during winter holidays.

Winter being the month of Christmas and New Year, meaning long holiday, my family decided to go on a vacation. We planned to celebrate Christmas and New Year in my aunt’s place. I particularly loved her home and surroundings. It was a beautiful village with smiling faces all around. After staying in a busy city for so many years I felt this to be a different experience. The place was calm and peaceful with few houses found here and there unlike the cities with huge buildings, late night clubs, overflowing restaurants and rushing vehicles.

... not able to swim because of the snow fall. With nothing to do, I decided to try my hands on horse riding. Although I didn’t know anything about horse riding, I settled to learn.

With great victory my horse riding classes started and all was going well for a few days. One fine day I was left alone without the trainer. I tried riding the horse and ended up breaking my legs. With not much less option left, I was bedridden. This was the time I started missing Mark. I felt I was more attached to him than anybody else. I wanted to speak to him immediately. Thinking about the huge amount of bills my aunt would receive the next month, I kept quiet. Only then did I remember carrying a laptop along with me. To make my situation worse, my aunt did not have an Internet connection; she did not even have a computer at home. I was helpless.

I found my mom talking to her friend over the phone for about an hour. She is a person who never likes to be a nuisance to others. I was surprised when she was using my aunt’s phone for more than an hour. I waited patiently for her to end the conversation. I asked her, “Mom, won’t this call increase aunt’s phone bill?” Guys don’t be surprised by her answer, like how I was! She mentioned that aunt has Fios Digital Voice connection which charges no additional cost for calls made anywhere within the country.

The moment I got this news I was at the heights of happiness. The next thing I did was to call Mark. I just said “Hello”, and the immediate reply was “Where did you leave me and go?”, “I love you”. I was flabbergasted. My joy knew no bounds. I proposed him immediately. From that very moment till today we made sure we were together.

We studied in the same college and completed our studies successfully. Mark got placed in a very good company with good posting. We decided to get married. We informed our parents and got engaged. Do you know that my aunt was very happy to know this because our love blossomed in her house, so she had a special liking towards us? Mark is in Canada now. We talk for hours and hours together over the phone, because I too subscribed Fios Digital Voice and got unlimited calls to Canada. Our marriage is going to be held next month, and I will be honored if you make your presence for our wedding. Oh! It is time to call Mark. Catch you later.
