Sitting smack under the tropic of Capricorn, Mauritius offers an all year round subtropical climate. There are two seasons, summer from November to April and winter from May to September. It can get very humid during the summer and wet during the winter. A lot of rain during the winter months keeps the island irrigated for its sugar industry.
