Newcastle Upon Tyne is home to numerous different types of accommodation options. From cheap and cheerful guesthouses to self-catering accommodation and luxury Newcastle hotels, no matter what your needs or budget are you are sure to find something suitable for your stay in the city. The cheapest forms of accommodation in Newcastle are guest houses. The majority of these can be found towards the north of the city, close to Osbourne Road and the suburb of Jesmond. Both the Metro and Buses run from Newcastle to Gateshead regularly.

Newcastle hotels are generally situated close to the city, and some are even available on the river bank, making them ideal for those visiting the city for a holiday or weekend break. The price of Newcastle hotels varies depending on the location however you can expect to pay between £40 and £60 for a double room in one of the city centre hotels.
