Some Ideas For Wedding Shower Planning

Wedding showers can seem like an afterthought. On top of the hundreds of details involved in planning the ceremony itself, they can strike you as nothing more than a watered-down bachelorette party! However, wedding showers are an opportunity for guests to see you before the wedding, and with some planning and creativity they can be enjoyable for everyone involved.
The traditional shower is a bridal shower, a gift-giving occasion for the bride's female family and friends. (Nowadays, many showers are co-ed.) They tend to take place in the afternoon and a light snack is served as people socialize. There's nothing wrong with adhering to tradition, but if you want to make your shower a bit more personal, here are are some ideas:
Have an activity for everyone to participate in. If it’s something a lot of people like to do, an activity can function as an excellent icebreaker. For instance, a wine or beer tasting event is relaxed and provides guests with an easy topic of conversation. If you want something less involved, chose a game or two for the guests to play. Games that test the guests' knowledge of the couple ...
... or lively group games like Pictionary tend to be good choices.
Stick to a theme. Themes can be as playful as a dinner party's-- an 80s-themed shower would provide plenty of opportunities for fun – or traditional, like high tea. Another option would be to involve your guests in one of your hobbies, like cooking, or to center your shower around your honeymoon destination.
Take your guests somewhere. There’s no requirement for your shower to take place in a home or reception hall. If you're the adventurous sort, you could host a rock climbing shower; or, if you want to take the bridesmaids out for a treat, you could host at a spa. This sort of thing is ideal for smaller events-- in other words, ones where you don't have to worry about entertaining children or uninterested friends and family. However, you could easily chose a popular activity. A bowling shower would be likely to please most of your guests.
Planning a wedding shower may be stressful on top of everything else you have to do, but in the end, it's a great opportunity to connect with your guests. Weigh your options and enjoy the outcome.
And once you've finished planning the wedding shower, you should begin to think about what gifts you you're going to give your bridesmaids. The best type of gift is of course a unique one that shows your bridesmaids you put a lot of thought into the decision. Since women like beer too, there's no reason to not consider buying your bridesmaids a Capcatcher, a truly unique bridesmaid gift.
