Electronic appliances have long ago made their way into the kitchen. The modern women have to juggle both her career and house and the more work she gets done in a small span of time, the better. Mixer grinders are probably one of the oldest manufactured appliances. Over the ages, they have evolved a lot as well. There are still some who believe in making the grandma’s recipes in the traditional method and refuse to touch the new age electronic items in the belief that they can never reproduce that same magic. That is not so. Here are some the most amazing things that a mixer grinder can do.

As the name suggests, the mixer grinder is used for mixing, grinding and blending any food items. Spices form a vital part of the food stuff that we eat. They are the ones that lend the correct taste, aroma and texture to any dish. Hence, grinding them just in the right amount can work magic, even if only a pinch is used. In the eastern countries, grinding stones and mortar and pestles were used to do the ...
... job. Not only was it physically exhausting for the sheer weight of the tools and the movements involved, but it was also quite time consuming. Again, different spices need different coarseness. Some prefer black pepper more coarse while turmeric is preferred finely powdered. All this requires precision and can be difficult to achieve manually. Mixers and grinders can do it in a matter of seconds and you have the hardest spices and nuts ground to just the right coarseness.

On the other hand, if you want to blend tomato, basil, chili flakes and oil into a smooth paste to make pasta sauce, that can be done in seconds in a mixer grinder. Various kinds of sauces and crèmes can be made on them. Manually, it is quite difficult to blend all the ingredients so uniformly. There is no constant beating and churning. All you have to do is press a switch. In the same manner, smoothies and juices can also be made on them as they are often combined together with the new age food processors.

So if you still do not have a mixer grinder, do get one for yourself now. Your work in the kitchen will be reduced by half, but your family will still enjoy the taste of your food.
