Is Your Usb Drive Not Recognized By Your Computer?

When you connect too many devices through the USB port in your PC or laptop then the computer fails to recognize all of them. Mainly computers with multi format card readers can have this kind of troubles. If the name of your USB drive and a computer driver matches then the system fails to identify your device. For instance, when your computer has a drive named ‘’G:’’ and your USB drive’s name is also the same; then the computer will not be able to detect the later. Then your UBS drive will not show up.

You will get a list of names of your computer hardware devices. Check out for Universal Serial Bus in that list. If you see a red cross ‘’X’’ or a yellow exclamation ‘’!’’ on the icon then you need to install or update it. However, the USB driver varies according to your computer.

USB Malfunction:
USB drivers are used as they last for longer time compared to CDs or DVDs. If your computer does not detect the USB drive; don’t think at first that the computer is faulty. Try connecting the USB driver in another computer. If you find that the other computer is also unable to locate the concerned device; then there is some trouble with it. If you roughly handle your USB drive then the memory chip of it can be damaged. Even if you remove the USB drive without selecting the eject option in the computer; it can hamper the drive. Hence, be careful while you are planning to fix the drive.
