Caring For Furniture And Equipment In Your Home Theater
You may have spent countless hours building, planning, organizing and setting up a home theater room. All the man-hours you invested have had a huge payoff: a sense of pride and comfort each time you walk into your new movie room. Your movie room is your palace. It is your escape. It is the place where you and your kids can enjoy some family time together and watch a movie. For all the hard work and money invested in the room, you want to take care of your theater room by taking some precautions to keep it looking new and serving as the place you come to escape from life.
Furniture
A movie experience is not complete unless you’re munching on some buttery popcorn, chewing on some candy or sipping down your favorite soda. If you have kids, the likelihood of them spilling a soda or dropping some popcorn on the floor skyrockets. Carpet, upholstery and even leather can absorb the brunt of the damage inflicted by liquids and food. Still, you are going to eat during a movie, and spills will happen, which is why you have to prepare yourself for the worst kinds of spills and stock up on cleaning supplies to eliminate ...
... the stains from carpets and high end home theatre seating.
The quicker you spot stains and remove them, the less likely you are to have ugly reminders sprinkled on your floor or seat. You want to inspect the room after every use. Check for spilled popcorn. Look for liquid spills, and vacuum the place often. Use leather cleaner every two weeks to scrub down your seats, while spraying some upholstery cleaner at least once a month to eliminate any dirt. The more proactive you are about caring for your room, the more you will ensure that the place will remain looking new.
Equipment
The same care you take in cleaning the floors, seats and surrounding areas of the room should be given to the equipment. Dust, water and even too much heat can damage your high-tech toys and cause them to break down. Avoid placing any of your surround sound speakers close to a heater or air conditioning vents. Ensure that your television is cleaned weekly to remove any dust and dirt that can build up around it and ruin the display. Tighten up the screws on your TV stand and check the HDMI cables to ensure that they are not tangled, bent, or in any state that can potentially cause them to rip. Make sure your wires are well cared for and always make sure your surge protector is working to prevent any major disasters.
The same planning, organizing and care that went into designing a home theater room should be carried out when cleaning and maintaining it. Your high end home theater furniture for home should be well kept, which will secure the theater’s longevity in serving as a place of comfort and relaxation.
