Setting Up A Football Team

There are many benefits to forming a football team – not only is it great fun and a great sense of exercise, but it is also a way to form closer bonds with those around you and to create a great sense of camaraderie amongst a certain group of people.
However, if you wish to set up a football team, there will be certain steps you are likely to need to take. The first thing you will need to do is to decide in which type of league you wish to play. Some may prefer to play in a pub league, whilst others may want to join a registered FA league if they feel they have the talent. Of course, others still may simply wish to join one of the many five-a-side leagues that are growing every year throughout the country.
Once you have decided where you wish to play, you need to organise the team. Many leagues will cost money and you need to know how you plan to raise this money and whether it will be through subs, sponsorship or private investment. From there, you need to know who will act as the manager, the secretary and the treasurer to ensure all the relevant boxes are ticked and the right jobs get done.
After this, ...
... you need to work out where you will be training and how you plan to attract the right players. You will also need to ensure you have the right football training equipment and supplies to look after your players, from things as simple as a first aid cold pack to the kit that they will wear week in and week out.
You will also need to ensure you have the right training regime. For players to be fit and not need an adhesive support bandage and ice pack every week, they need to be in shape and know what they are doing. Don’t assume anyone can take on the role of training – getting people game-ready is a hard job that requires a great deal of knowledge and experience.
