Solar Panel Rebates In Australia
Australia enjoys nearly year-round bright sunshine. Talk about a great place to harness the power of the sun for solar panels and solar panel rebates! Because the Australian government understands the potential for solar energy in their country, they have funded a massive solar power rebate project. The project is designed to encourage Australians to install solar panels on their homes. Because installing solar panels is expensive, the government is offering a one-time solar panel rebate to offset some of the cost.
How it works:
For a household to be eligible to receive the rebate, a family's combined annual taxable income must not exceed $100,000. Note that in Australia, "taxable income" includes things like one's home and car as well as one's income. It does not take long for a family's income to creep up to the $100,000 mark. Moreover, to receive the solar energy rebate a family must not have received the Clean Energy rebate in the past for solar panels or any other endeavour.
First, to be eligible for the rebate, your household must not have a taxable income of over $100,000. This sounds easy enough ...
... but you have to consider everything that is thought of as a taxable income such as cars, your home, and the money you ear each month from working. All these figures will add up quickly. In addition, to receive the credit, you cannot have received the Clean Energy rebate previously for any reason. To receive the rebate, residents must also be part of a designated grid. Those living "off the grid" will not, therefore, qualify.
If you want to qualify for the rebate, your photovoltaic system must be professionally installed, not self installed. This stipulation is in place because amateur installation can lead to incorrect installation. When a photovoltaic system is installed incorrectly, it can hinder one's ability to become self-sufficient in terms of energy. In addition to being installed professionally, your solar panel system must be purchased new, not refurbished. This is to ensure a high level of safety precaution; there is no way of knowing what kinds of safety hazards that a used system may have.
One your panels are installed, you are eligible to receive the rebate. The amount of rebate you will receive will vary, depending on the amount of electricity usage with your local power company in the month prior to your application for the rebate. Photovoltaic systems will allow you to harvest more energy than you will be able to use for personal energy needs, so the excess can be sold back to energy companies.
Solar panels can be a great way to become self-sufficient in terms of your home's energy consumption. In addition, solar energy is very kind to the environment because it harnesses the sun's own energy. To encourage more Australian households to use this kind of energy, the Australian government has offered the solar panel rebate. The solar energy rebate is designed to serve as an incentive to homeowners to be more environmentally friendly while becoming self sufficient
