Being Indians, we have grown up reading and hearing the stories (and folklores) about Guru-Shisaya (Teacher-student) traditions and how it has played an instrumental role in changing the course of history (Well, there are numerous examples; however, I would like to cite the relation between Chandragupta Maurya and Chankaya which helped the former to unify India and become the first emperor).We usually ask (and even wonder) what makes this relationship between a student and teacher so cordial and amicable – The answer is Communication. However, it has become a rare phenomenon in the recent times. And to counter this problem of miscommunication many educational institutes have adopted and implemented K-12 school management software.
Educational ERP and communication? – This sounds weird!! It is true that with the modern invention the rift between individuals is getting wider; yet it is equally true that the latest technology has enabled us to stay connected with people irrespective of geographical barriers; and the live example is of college management software. It is quite annoying for a parent (even for the teachers) ...

K-12 school management software gives more transparency as any report regarding the child’s progress and overall behavior can be updated and seen by the parents, just with few clicks. So, if little Raju has lied to his mother that he is going to school and instead goes somewhere else; she would come to know with the attendance updated by the teachers. (Well, many would find this software anti-student).
When you are using College management software for your school (and particularly for college) the teachers can upload the grades or submission reports which the students as well as their parents can view (it is highly secure platform where only the members or the authorized people having rights can have to look at it). Therefore, the wards cannot hide their results from the guardians – parents will anyhow come to know it. (See, didn’t I tell that it is somewhat anti-student).
Though it sounds students- defiant in many ways; it is actually very helpful even to them. K-12 school management softwareworks like a virtual notice board wherein the teacher or the headmaster can upload any important notices or any notifications regarding exams or results. Therefore, students who are on leave or on vacation can easily get to know about the declaration of results. The teachers can also post the assignments and the date of submission. It in way helps the student to stay touch with the latest happenings in the institute.
Facebook or social networking sites are perhaps the greatest invention of our times; it helps the people to find their old friends online. Now just think, if the students, teachers, parents and principal of a particular school or collegecan keep in touch with each other, even after leaving the organization, it would be a beneficial for building strong interpersonal and lasting relations. Educational ERP provides this platform to the pupils and faculties as well as to the parents, at times who due to time constraints might not be able to have a word with the teacher.
All in all, K-12 school management softwareis not only for better administration, but also helps to build strong interpersonal relationships among the two distinct entities students (parents) and teachers (school management).
